NAB Slashes Its Reuters Data Usage; Makes Telerate, K-R Primary Providers

National Australia Bank is reducing its use of Reuters' information services by 90 percent, in a move that will allow the bank's treasury group in Australia to slash its total market data expenditures by more than one quarter during the year.

NAB's plan calls for Dow Jones Telerate to supply the bulk of the bank's financial information, with Knight-Ridder supplementing Telerate's data and providing news as well. Reuters information will be delivered to just 10 percent of NAB's 160 or so dealers
