BANK OF IRELAND, HP SIGN OUTSOURCING DEAL

Bank of Ireland (BoI) and IT systems and services giant Hewlett-Packard (HP) have finally inked a long-troubled IT outsourcing deal. HP will manage the bank’s infrastructure, including desktop systems, servers, mainframes, LANs, printing operations and service desk. Bank and HP officials agreed upon the seven-year, $600 million deal in principle in April. However, official confirmation of the deal has been delayed due to internal hostilities from BoI IT
