UBS to Deploy RMDS-on-Linux

LONDON--UBS Investment Bank (IB) will be globally deploying the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) next-generation distribution platform on Linux-Intel ProLiant servers from Hewlett-Packard (HP), making it the largest RMDS-on-Linux deployment to date, say industry sources.
Reuters and UBS officials confirm that the RMDS rollout will support more than 3,500 UBS IB trading staff at more than 25 locations. UBS officials also confirm that they will be moving to Linux, but decline to disclose their
