Reuters/Equant Deal Creates E-Commerce Network

LONDON--Reuters and Equant are creating a new networking company that will offer telecommunication services, market data feeds from multiple sources, and managed network services to the financial services industry, in what is seen by some as Reuters attempt to jump on the outsourcing bandwagon. The joint company's plans place it in direct competition with services planned by IPC's Ixnet and Bridge Information Systems.
