Page Shredder To Feed Analytics On Shearson Fixed-Income Desk

Shearson Lehman Hutton Inc. has built a customized data delivery system to feed the analytical applications used by its fixed-income traders. Finding that vendors couldn't satisfy its need for ticker data, Shearson built its own "page shredder" that ties into a network of UNIX-based SPARCstation 1 workstations built by Sun Microsystems Inc.
