Tradepoint Expands, Offers Direct Access to US Institutional Investors

ATS/ECN UPDATE

LONDON--Beginning July 10, institutional investors in the US will have the ability to gain access to and trade continental European blue-chip stocks with Tradepoint, the London-based electronic stock exchange.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) handed down a "no-action" letter on June 30 in response to a trading plan submitted by Tradepoint. In essence, the letter gives Tradepoint the go-ahead to expand access to US investors without facing regulatory action from the commission.
