Nasdaq Announces Pan-European Securities Market

NEW YORK--In a press conference that was held simultaneously in London and Paris, Nasdaq announced the formation of Nasdaq Europe, which it describes as "the first truly pan-European platform for initial public offerings (IPOs) and other equities across Europe." In addition to IPOs, there will be an emphasis on high growth companies. The Nasdaq stock market will serve as the model, and Nasdaq Europe will be linked with Nasdaq markets in the US and Asia.
