Shearson Integrates OTC Trading Area Using Sun Workstations

Despite numerous layoffs and a renewed sense of cost- consciousness, Shearson Lehman Hutton Inc. is moving ahead with plans to deploy a new and improved workstation for OTC traders. The workstation implementation is designed to make OTC traders more productive.
The latest workstation is the third generation on the OTC desk. It integrates Shearson's proprietary front- and back-office Trading Management System (TMS), International Thomson Inc.'s AuTex block trading system, Reuters Holdings PLC's
