TT Wins First Round in Patent War

LONDON--Trading Technologies (TT), a provider of derivatives trading technologies, should be encouraged by the results of its first round in its ongoing patent lawsuit against eSpeed.
The U.S. district court for the northern district of Illinois offered a preliminary ruling on the matter earlier this month. Although the ruling stopped short of issuing an injunction against eSpeed, the judge declared in his opinion that TT’s patents are valid, which eSpeed had questioned.
