Maitland stops the clocks

South Africa is a country full of incongruity. There are parts of Cape Town's southern suburbs and the northern suburbs of Johannesburg where the levels of wealth are more akin to those of the more salubrious parts of western Europe and North America. And yet a short drive away from these pockets of 'first-worldness' there are equally astonishing examples of poverty. This sense of duality, a pan-African phenomenon if ever there was one, is mostly ever present - you just need to know where to
