Stoxx Eyes Buy Side with Index Expansion

Swiss index provider Stoxx is expanding its coverage of—and presence in—markets outside its core European base to win business from buy-side firms and from new regions, officials say.

In February, Stoxx launched a global index family of more than 1,200 blue-chip indexes covering 53 countries, developed over the past year following Dow Jones’ sale of its stake in the venture to Stoxx owners SIX Group and Deutsche Börse.
