Orange’s financial extranet co-location service will be operated from BME’s data processing center in Madrid.

The exchange hopes to draw more high-frequency trading through the financial extranet co-location service, according to Vicente Linares, vice president, Spain, Portugal & Latin America, Orange Business Services.

"Since connecting to TCSnet, latency on BME's new platform SMART has reduced considerably," he says. "It also facilitates trading of all BME products based on an infrastructure that ensures the highest operational standards, including guaranteed security and reliability levels."
