According to consultancy PwC’s annual research report on information security—Global State of Information Security Survey 2017—43 percent of respondents suffered phishing attacks in 2016, with phishing being the No.1 vector of cybersecurity concern for the respondents. As a result, spending on security has spiked 67 percent since 2013, with an 11 percent growth in 2016 over 2015.
