After the shuttering of Wilshire Indexes, the indexes space is a little tighter

Just when I was hoping no one had experienced anything disastrous while I was away, I get back, get up and running, and find that Wilshire Indexes, the arm set up by parent asset manager Wilshire to manage and run its in-house indices, was shutting down.

This was news to me—unwelcome news at that—as I’m sure it was to its UK-based staff. Some of its assets were sold off, others transferred back to its parent company, and the rest of the loss-making vendor was summarily placed in administration.
