Geico Signs Princeton, Abandons Sungard's ISA

Washington, D.C.-based Government Employees Insurance Co. (Geico) has licensed Princeton Financial Systems Inc.'s DOS-based Pam portfolio accounting and management system to replace its Sungard Data Systems Inc.'s Information Systems of America (ISA) mainframe-based Oscars system.
As part of the same project, Geico plans to install a local area network running Novell Inc.'s Netware. The LAN will link users' DOS-based PCs. The firm opted for DOS because "Pam hasn't gotten their stuff into Windows
