Since it was founded under the heading SunGard Business Integration in 1983, SunGard has grown into one of the largest financial services technology providers, comprising numerous niche business units with a bewildering catalogue of products, a handful of wholly owned subsidiaries, and an annual turnover of some $2.7 billion. Victor Anderson provides an overview of Decalog, SunGard’s ubiquitous order management system, which has found traction on both sided of the industry.
