Loomis Sayles Tests DST; Eyes Trade System Buy, Too


BOSTON-based Loomis Sayles has signed a letter of intent to use portfolio accounting and performance measurement software from DST Belvedere. The firm will spend the next few weeks stress-testing the software, which is called the Global Portfolio System (GPS). If the testing is satisfactory, the money manager will then deploy the Unix-based software. Meanwhile, the firm is also looking farther ahead, to the acquisition of new trade order management software.
