Nomura Builds A Mutual Fund System, Anticipates Japanese Deregulation


Japanese banks expect financial deregulation to become a reality before the end of the year, and once they've gained their new freedoms, these once stodgy, old-fashioned institutions will begin selling a host of new products, including mutual funds.

But technologically, the Japanese banks are unprepared for this brave new world, and as a result, they're turning to North American suppliers like Prologic Corp. of Richmond, British Columbia. Prologic has been supplying application development tools
