Technology Shake-Up At MFS: New Systems, New Executives


Massachusetts Financial Services Inc. (MFS) is poised to inaugurate a large-scale redesign of its systems, shifting them from Digital Equipment Corp. VAX processors to local area network-linked PCs running under Microsoft Corp.'s Windows. At the same time, the firm remains in the throes of a major reorganization of its information services department. Among other things, the shake-up brought about the reassignment--and ultimately the resignation--of senior vice president of systems Paul Shearer
