Kidder Asset Picks Security APL Despite Parent Co.'s Urging


Kidder Peabody Asset Management Inc. has ended a year-long evaluation process by signing an agreement with Security APL to make use of that vendor's service bureau-based portfolio management and accounting system. The firm plans eventually to bring the system in-house; the project could affect as many as 50 users in the firm's operations and portfolio management divisions.
