Industry Group Readies New Symbology Plan


After almost five months of meetings with so-called focus groups, the Information Industry Association's (IIA) Financial Information Services Division (FISD) is two months from releasing its proposals to make well the sorry state of symbology on the Street. The FISD expects at that time to offer solutions to the problems of anomalous symbology -- in all markets -- by defining a standard symbology methodology, as well as developing a framework for moving the industry to a new standard.
