JP Morgan Goes Live With 'Odyssey': Interest Rate Derivatives Trade Processing Built Upon Objects In Cache


LONDON--JP Morgan went live in December with Odyssey, an internally developed global interest rate derivatives trade processing system that consists of object-oriented applications, relational databases, internally developed messaging software and intranet-based links to external systems, sources say.

The Odyssey system's architecture is built using distributed object-oriented components and relational databases, with Persistence Software's mechanism for holding objects in cache memory
