European Regulators Okay Clearinghouse Interoperability

"We are currently conducting reviews internally as to what that means, what effect that will have on our existing arrangements, and how to best address the regulatory concerns," says Wayne Eagle, director of Equity Clear at LCH.Clearnet. "The good news is that regulators have said that in principle, they are not objecting to interoperability. We just need to kick the tires on the current arrangements and make sure they fulfill the regulatory framework that regulators have put out."
