Market Participants Get Behind Corp Actions Issuer-Level Standardization


The US chapter of the international standards organization GS1 has proposed using two-dimensional codes to aid standardization in the financial services industry, particularly to identify prospectuses and corporate announcements. Boston-based Laura Pollard, executive vice-president at corporate actions vendor Fidelity ActionsXchange, says: “We’ve been very supportive of this concept since GS1 has been introduced to the process.”

The main challenge in terms of standardizing corporate actions
