Flash Crash Autopsy Fails to Address the Rise of the Machine

Little more than a month has passed since the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) co-issued their post-Flash Crash recommendations, and still the dust has not settled.

Speaking at this year's TSAM, which was held at the Lancaster Hotel in London, banking and financial technology consultant Bob Giffords spoke of how many of the recommendations failed to hit the right note. Despite there being three official reports since the crash -
