The UK Financial Services Authority's (FSA’s) deadline for removing exemptions for mobile phones in communications recording hit the industry on Monday. It's been a long time coming, but are financial services firms sufficiently prepared? And to what extent will the effects of this regulation be felt in other regions? By James Rundle

The FSA's Policy Statement 10/17 (PS 10/17), Taping of mobile phones, was published in November 2010. The regulation states that, as of Nov. 14 2011, firms involved
