CUSIP Master File Database Available Through SecurityMaster Services System

LONDON-Standard and Poor's (S&P) has introduced SecurityMaster Services, a Web-based delivery platform that provides clients with direct access to near real-time securities data.

The product, which took one year to develop, enables direct access to the Cusip master file database. According to Darren Purcell, director of securities identification at S&P, the key factors of this new system are its interactivity and users' ability to access data directly.
