Case Against Archipelago President Dismissed In Chicago

CHICAGO--A chancery court judge dismissed with prejudice an August 1999 complaint filed against Archipelago ECN and its parent, Archipelago Holdings L.L.C. At issue was a business relationship the plaintiff, Fane Lozman, had with Archipelago President Gerald Putnam.

In the case, Fane Lozman et. al. vs. Archipelago, Judge Dorothy Kinnaird of Chicago's chancery court granted Archipelago's motions to dismiss eight counts against them. Because the ruling was made "with prejudice," Lozman cannot
