Nasdaq OMX Amps Up U.K. Power Market

The U.K. power market has been around for some time; however, illiquidity has made it difficult for energy traders to find transparent reference prices, according to Geir Reigstad, a vice president with Nasdaq OMX Commodities. "Nasdaq OMX will provide a toolbox for a more efficient solution. We are offering a sufficient and solid clearing solution for the U.K. power market and are adding components on the trading side as well."
