Tibco Plans Product Extensions Geared For Buy-Side Customers

NEW YORK--Early in the Year 2000, Tibco Financial Technology plans to be ready to market a set of adapters specifically for institutional investment firms.

"We're looking to create a common object model and data platform for buy-side firms," says Arvind Sinha, Tibco's director of equities. "The common object model would facilitate building adapters into buy-side applications. We'll also provide a generic Financial Information Exchange protocol engine that uses the Rendezvous messaging structure."
