According to Nigel Roberts, head of global sales and marketing at Marco Polo, the vendor's customers were expecting their connections into the emerging markets to be reliable and if a local sponsoring broker suffered an outage or a delay in execution, Marco Polo's customers would expect the vendor to vouch for that broker. "The sell side now wants better performance out of these markets," Roberts says. "They want the performance and stability."
