GL Trade Ports to Linux


GL Trade, a French market data and trading systems vendor, is adopting the Linux operating system for its exchange connections and datafeeds. The company says this will increase performance and lower client costs.

GL Trade will initially concentrate on porting its exchange connectivity software, ticker plant and feed handlers to Linux. "All our market datafeed server applications are being ported under Linux right now," says Philippe Carré, director of client services marketing and communications
