CME Using FIXML for Post-Trade Unit

CHICAGO—By the end of this month, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) will migrate the distribution format for one of its end-of-day data services to FIXML, the XML version of the FIX protocol for electronic trade communication.

CME officials say FIXML will allow the exchange to easily expand the range of more complex instruments traded via the CME. The end-of-day trade and reconciliation data for cleared trades are part of CME's Position Services department, which has been using FIXML for
