Opening Cross: Will SIFMA 2010 Reflect Improving Economy?


The annual SIFMA technology conference and exhibit has become a de facto barometer of the health of the financial markets. Last year, the show had tongues wagging for the wrong reasons, as the economic woes left booth space empty, with some smaller vendors simply unable to justify the expense, and larger vendors choosing to hold their own events instead. This year, as the markets show signs of cautious optimism, will the green shoots of recovery lead to fairer weather for the SIFMA show?
