BT Adds Social Media to the Trading Desk

In line with its previous projections for 2011, BT has launched a new collaboration service for financial markets.

The product, which was demoed recently to a London audience, amalgamates a variety of communication channels onto a single dashboard to support interaction between clients, traders and counterparties.

The tool draws upon social networking platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn to allow users to add contacts to their network and see if they are online; and Skype-like functionality

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
