AboveNet: Shorter Route Will Slash London–Slough Latency

Network provider AboveNet has upgraded its FinanceNet Platform optical fiber route between its point of presence (PoP) at Equinix’s LD1 datacenter in the City of London to its PoP in Equinix’s LD4 Slough facility by “significantly” reducing cable lengths to minimize latency between the two UK financial hubs, officials say.
