BNY ConvergEx Group rolls out buy-side dark pool service

BNY ConvergEx claims the Dark Desk covers all major dark pools, and enables clients to achieve their trading objectives in an increasingly fragmented and opaque sector of the marketplace.

According to the firm, launching the Dark Desk service became necessary following the proliferation of dark pools and clients' ensuing frustrations at having to monitor multiple unlisted liquidity venues to determine where and when best to execute either directly or via the BNY ConvergEx trading desk.
