Fidelity Appears To Favor British Telecom To Provide Turrets For 200 In Boston

BRITISH Telecommunications North America Inc. (BTNA) is poised to win a 200-position telephone trading turret contract for Fidelity Management & Research Co.'s trading room. Because of the architecture of its ISDN interface--which Fidelity hopes to use to develop integrated voice/data applications--BTNA has emerged as the strong favorite on a short list that includes itself and IPC Information Systems Inc. Fidelity rejected a bid from incumbent V Band Corp.
