Montgomery Securities is installing Thomson Investment Software's Portia Advanced Platform Option (APO) portfolio management and accounting system. The San Francisco-based investment banking and institutional brokerage house selected APO in January to support some $11.8 billion in corporate and private assets under management in its private client department. As a result of the selection, Montgomery will cease to use software from Advent Software in its equities operations.
