Denver Public Schools Moves From Mainframe Portfolio System To In-house IDS System


Denver Public Schools' $1.5 billion pension plan group will install Integrated Decision Systems Inc.'s Investment Manager II portfolio management system within the next two months at its Denver, Col., offices, replacing a proprietary system running on a remotely located mainframe computer.

At Denver, portfolio management is currently provided by the school system's Department of Technical Services (DOTS). The system runs at DOT's data center and provides a rudimentary bureau portfolio management
