Bloomberg's Trading Gateway Server Connects To Portfolio Applications


NEW YORK--A four-month-old group within Bloomberg is extending the software interfaces between the company's Portfolio Trading System and some leading portfolio management packages including Princeton Financial Systems' PAM and Thomson Investment Software's Portia.

Called the Integration Services Unit, the group is led by Bob Coppola, and its flagship product is a Windows NT-based network server called the Trading System Gateway, which has been ordered by 20 clients to date. The server can handle
