As the February 2006 deadline for hedge fund registration with the SEC nears, managers not already in compliance are ramping up efforts and IT spending to establish concrete compliance policies and procedures, and also appoint chief compliance officers. But until the rule actually takes effect, its impact on the hedge fund industry can only be surmised. This month, Hedge Fund & Investment Technology poses four questions to industry officials to get an idea of how managers’ registration efforts
