IBM, Egenera Partner with Virtualization Firms
Technology giant IBM and blade specialist Egenera have both partnered with server virtualization software firms to expand their blade offerings.
Big Blue will bundle evaluation copies of VMware virtualization software with IBM eServer BladeCenter shipments worldwide. With the bundle, customers purchasing Blade Center will receive six-month evaluation copies of VMware’s VMware ESX Server, the firm’s virtual infrastructure software for partitioning
