The Atlantic divide has widened even further when it comes to US and European investment firms and their view toward algorithmic trading. According to a recent report by Randy Grossman, research manager at analyst firm Financial Insights, two-thirds of fund managers and hedge funds in the US now use algorithmic trading.
Analyst Larry Tabb of the Tabb Group echoed such statistics in a presentation given at equity trading and technology conference TradeTech in Paris in April. According to Tabb's
