Wall Street woke up last month to find itself at the center of a new terror alert warning from the Department of Homeland Security, and although the information was years old in some cases, the potential targets were specific. Far more effectively than any disaster recovery drill, the terrorist warnings jolted some securities firms into action and underscored for others the absolute need to create and test recovery and continuity plans.
