The release, version 1.0, sports an Esper open-source complex event processing (CEP) engine, "which provides buy-and sell side organizations an environment to build queries that process information, which changes over time," says Graham Miller, CEO of Marketcetra. Potential uses for the engine include evaluating stream of orders for compliance reasons, evaluating pre-trade risk analytics, processing market data, identifying trading signals and developing trading algorithms, he adds.
