Complex event processing (CEP) technology vendor Aleri has partnered with news analytics provider RavenPack to develop a news-based signal generation machine, officials announced today, May 18. RavenPack processes news stories to allow users to quantitatively analyze news events and their correlation with financial instruments. Aleri then takes that information into its CEP engine and gives the end user the ability to apply that information to business
