Navigating Dark Pools Still an Art, Not a Science
"Lumping dark pools into one generic term is pretty dangerous," says Keith Casuccio, vice president and electronic trading at Morgan Stanley, who spoke at a recent electronic trading conference hosted by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (Sifma).
With approximately 30 dark pools, by some industry estimates, in operation in the U.S. today, it becomes a cumbersome task deciding which to route to, according to market participants.
