Front End Vendors Move Spreader Algos to Servers

Hosted platform provider CQG plans to introduce the new capability, dubbed CQG Spreader, in version 8.1 of its platform that is slated for general availability around the Futures Industry Association's (FIA's) annual conference in October.

"We first released the spreading capability [for testing] in late 2008 and ramped it up in early 2009," says Josef Schroeter, president of CQG.

The vendor currently has about 100 clients testing the technology in its late beta phase.
