Global Exchanges Branch Out, Form Partnerships

In its second deal in recent weeks, NYSE Euronext announced an agreement with alternative trading system (ATS) Bids Trading to launch a joint venture designed to converge their pools of displayed and non-displayed liquidity for block trading.

The new facility will allow Bids and NYSE participants to access each other's displayed and hidden liquidity and should be operational by mid-2008, officials from both firms say.
